Evaluation of Covers

My genre of music is a kind of hard core drum and bass, similar to the music of pendulum, i encorporate this representation of the music into my cd cover by using a weird Psychedelic feature, the long exposure of the fire, to drag the light. It makes the cover look different and unusual, so this can reflect the music of the artis/artists.

The front cover uses dark ominus colours to depict the nature of the band, they are strange, different, mysterious. By doing this it makes you want to listen to the music and find out more about the bands sound.

I used this font of writing because its bold but not too forward, i wanted the person to look at the cover and see the picture first, the name second, so looking at that deaper, i wanted the person looking at the cover to see the music first and what thier name is second.

Long camera exposure's

To achieve my affect for my CD cover i had to learn how to do a long exposure.

This is done by chaning the ISO to suit the lighting conditions.
Then the shutter on the camera has to be left open for a longer period of time.

Shutter speed enables you to capture an image at a precist point of time or to drag the light to create a stranger picture.

These are examples of my own long exposures in different situations.

This is a different type of photo, taken on a fast shutter speed to capture the image in a split second.

These are some of the original images i considerd for my CD cover.

They have all been take with a simple SLR camera using a high ISO setting to suit the dark lighting conditions.
